This Saturday is the July Beach Honey monthly final...
Its a special one because the Semi Final eliminations have already happened SOOOO the 3 girls who win tonight get to go DIRECTLY To the Grand Finals where they'll compete for 100,000 RMB... It's the very last shot at the big money, so if you're sitting on the fence trying to decide whether or not to enter... you wont have a chance after Saturday night, til; next year of course...
Things to know about Saturday: 3 winners will be chosen and will be added to the pool of 20 Beach Honey Finalists. 1 more will be selected by shanghaining.com to round out the pool of finalists at 24.
This is the last monthly final befor the August 18 FInal at Dino Beach where 1 girl will be crowned Beach Honey 2007, and walk away with 100,000rmb.
Every monthly final has been waaay over the top with activities and just all around coolness. I have been blown away by seeing the early, and I mean waiting-outside-for-the-doors-to-open early crowd. It's been somewhat of a phenomena... The most stylish young people in Shanghai have all been spotted hanging out before the event down in the lobby of bonbon andl the TVs and media crews are always busy running interviews with people as they hang out before heading up to the club.
When I first started to see the buzz around March it reminded me of the pre-Oscar red carpet and one of the best things to come out of that is the Joan Rivers dirt-dishing on who's dropping jaws and whos just completely missing the boat in the style department. So we came up with a similar type of thing-- a photo journal, or style guide to show you some of whats hot , whats cool and whats goin on with fashion and style in Shanghai clubs these days... Look for the Style Council next week as the pics from Saturday night get the once-over.
Meanwhile, back at the party... Look for Da Long, PQ and Shout Dogg to bring up the party just right as they've been doing throught the entire contest. See you all down there!
